Desmond Bane’s journey to a max contract: High School: • 0-star recruit. • Averaged 30 points a game at a small Catholic school in Indiana. • Spent his entire senior season of high school uncommitted to a college. • Commits to TCU over Miami (OH) in May of his senior year. College: • 4-year player. • Never missed a single game (141 games played). • 2x All-Big 12. • TCU all-time winningest player (84 wins). Pro: • Drafted late first round by the Celtics (traded to the Grizzlies). • 2020-21 All-Rookie. • Averaged 21.5 points in his third year. Bane just signed a 5-year, $207M max extension.
