@NBLPleb I don't mind it, you then have 10 players in the attacking half and risk more chance of a bad inbound turnover. Even if they did take a timeout the play would have been give it to Doo for a mid jumper. Had the shot, but unfortunately missed it. 12 seconds full court gives chances

Hindsight helps, but I swear this is the third of fourth time John Rillie had a timeout to use but chose not to use it, and Perth went on to lose the game. I am not a coach - he is - but why not use it? #NBL #NBL26

@JoshHigginsFox Couldn't agree more, great to see the support of mental health but I think the work Greg & A Stitch in Time have done deserve better. Greg even posted a brief reply to the first announcement. I've had the privilege of multiple discussions with Greg and I appreciate him and ASIT.

I want to start by saying this, the Perth Wildcats launching a mental health game this week is a genuinely strong initiative, and partnering with Rio Tinto and Lifeline is important and impactful. That deserves recognition. But I can’t help feeling there was a missed opportunity here. Greg Hire is a Wildcats legend in every sense of the word, an incredible servant of the club who continues to give back through his non-for-profit mental health program, A Stitch In Time. A former player, a leader and someone doing real work in this space. This felt like the perfect moment to get behind one of their own and support a cause that aligns so naturally with what the club is trying to achieve. The initiative itself is a positive one. I just think there was a chance to make it even more meaningful and to repay a club legend who’s still showing up for the community. Mental health matters. Supporting your people matters too.
