I don’t care that Devers was selfish. Stars — especially 28-year-old, 3-time All-Stars carrying your entire offense in the middle of their prime and a career year — get to be selfish. It’s on the manager to manage games and egos, and the front office to problem-solve. Make it work with him. Fix your mess. This was once the organization of “Manny being Manny,” because Manny hit like Devers is now. Those players are rare, invaluable. Keep them. Oh, and imagine if Bregman walks in a few months? Bang-up job, everybody. And don’t think for a second it’s a coincidence this trade dropped moments before a loooong road trip. Leadership can’t even take getting booed. But boy, we’ll be waiting.

Rafael Devers should’ve been a Red Sox for life. The front office fumbled its relationship with the most important person in the organization and one of the best hitters alive, couldn’t fix it and just punted. Mindless. A complete and utter clown show. Get Breslow the hell out.

But, to say they don’t keep players with torn ACL’s is far fetched and the facts show you are wrong. tranquil tore both Evans, Raridon, Craig, traore, Kia. Some may not recover but the majority do at ND with the strength staff.

Just like Evans starting this year after tearing his last season. So to say they never keep guys with that injury?

Coach will meet with players to let them know...we don't want you, not good enough, not gonna play, etc. (Ruthless) ND is different, players want the degree from ND. Many graduate in May, 3 1/2 yrs, summer school credits. I don't see Botelho staying.

Traore has the exact same injury as did Craig , Payne, Bauman has tore his acl in the same leg twice, Raridon and Evans also tore theirs….
