I feel compelled to defend Stew. I’ve known him for almost 20 years, and he has never been in this business to make himself rich. He has always put employees first, often standing up for their decisions—even when it meant using his political capital to push back against the board and Erez. Stew and I had a vision for Hi-Rez that would have been incredible for both the employees and the company’s future, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get the “higher-ups” on board. Looking back, that was a loss for everyone—including them. Stew is a great person, and Hi-Rez was lucky to have him. If I were in his position, I’d probably walk away—but that’s not who he is. He doesn’t give up on the company. So please, give him a break.
