@Mr_Husky1 Wrong reaction from the customer for sure. However, what if he or the person he was getting the burger for was severely allergic to pickles!!? Does it excuse the reaction? No. Does it make more understandable, I’d say yes. A coin NEVER has one side.

Anonymous I manage a fast-food joint. Lunch rush. A guy came in and screamed at my cashier because his burger had pickles. He threw the burger at her. She’s 16. It’s her first job. She ran to the back crying. I walked out from the kitchen. I picked up the burger. I looked at the guy. "Get out," I said. "But my refund—" "Get. Out." I said. "You don't get to treat people like trash for $5." He left. I went to the back. My cashier was wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry," she sobbed. "I messed up." "You didn't mess up," I told her. "Pickles are a mistake. Cruelty is a choice." I gave her the rest of the day off with pay. Protect your team. The customer isn't always right. Sometimes the customer is just a bully.

@MrPitbull07 Hopefully IRL that’d be in addition to the automatic gratuity for large party. $40 isn’t even 10%+some places share tips. Kitchen/hostess/runners+server all work their asses off to make sure things were timed+served correctly. Ppl agreeing w/$40 are feckless+classless+miserly.

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic. ~Lea Robertson

You are paying for sit down service. If you can’t afford the extra cost, don’t take it out on the servers. Just get take out instead. Acting like the service you receive at a chipotle or McDonalds is comparable to the service you receive at a sit down restaurant with full wait staff is completely disingenuous or just plain ignorant.

@Bunmie_oguns @Solyricon She didn’t choose it. Hubby showed her she was invisible to him.Yet she wasn’t to child +herself. Her actions had already spoken for her+the child. That’s all she needed. It’s okay to let ppl think what they want+you to keep them guessing+doing what you need to do for you+yours.

People who take photos of the restaurant menu and post them in Google reviews are the superheroes of the middle class and the backbone of society. God bless them.

Today in Church, during the announcement, the pastor started crying. After about five minutes, he broke the news. His 19 years old daughter is pregnant—out of wedlock. He said the temptation to abort the baby to avoid public shame was becoming overwhelming, so he's announcing it to shame the devil that they won't do that. And then he started crying again. Other ministers needed to lead him out. I thought there'll be backbiting and side talk but he was led out with a standing ovation. I felt so happy that the Church is regaining the love that was once in our midst again.

@KristyT But it should! Clearly this is a mixed aged space not just for infants. Most of these types of items have been around for decades—they’re tried+ true.And were in use when kids were smarter+could think+read. Bring it back, bring it all back! Maybe oldies but they are the goodies.

@FlorioGina I can’t imagine dropping my child off at a facility for strangers to take care of them while I’m at home. I simply cannot imagine. This isn’t a joke. It’s called parenting. Sometimes it’s hard, but it’s still your responsibility.

She admitted the quiet part out loud: it’s far easier to be a corporate working mom than a SAHM who raises her own children. Going to the office is a huge break from the responsibilities of motherhood, and daycare is used as a luxury rather than a necessity more often than people would like to admit.

@_LauraKlassen Canada has the Assisted Human Reproduction Act+other local laws which would govern this process including having a written contract for the use of another person’s egg. Also 1 of the men should have contributed dna to have parental rights—something the surrogate doesn’t have.

I had a pregnant lady reach out recently - she said she was a surrogate and has decided that she wants to keep the baby and not give him to the intended parents. 🫣 When I asked her why, she said, “I don’t think they are going to be good dads.” They don’t have a legal contract. The baby is not biologically hers (meaning, another woman’s egg was fertilized), and the baby is also not biologically either of the men’s (some other man’s sperm fertilized the egg.) So now what? I have a student who is absent today because he “didn’t feel like getting up this morning”. He’s 9. Parents, please stop giving your children the authority to make decisions that you should be making for them. If there are serious concerns about their school environment, address them. Otherwise, be the parent and make them get up and go to school.

look, having young kids can no doubt be overwhelming sometimes but YOU literally have the power to make motherhood something you enjoy. implement some boundaries, train your kids to sleep, do what you can to make everyday tasks easier, bring your kids along to do something you want to do, let your kids run around outside, literally just tell them to go play and leave you alone for a minute. it isn’t necessarily an overnight fix but you can absolutely shape your own experience as a mom. you are not a victim of motherhood.

Not every parent is equipped to handle kids full time+ what’s w/the misandry every post says kids need mama negating SAHDs. Life’s what you make it.Both SAH+ daycare=best!

Every single one of those kids who have a bad mom or dad wishes their parents were better, even if they managed not to follow in their parents’ footsteps and are living a reasonable adult life. It’s not the same thing, and those kids don’t have the same bonds, and they deserve to. How badly do you treat your kids that you are defending this so vehemently?!

My first two kids were in daycare (1st at 4mos, 2nd at 8wks) I died every day dropping them off; I will never forget how awful it felt leaving my children in the arms of another woman (albeit a very good caretaker). I question the instincts of anyone who did not feel this way.
