@rc_texans @sufferingjag Overpaid for Lawrence but I mean his contract is lowkey a bargain
English

@sufferingjag kinda like how u guys overpaid lawrence and now he finally got "unlocked" by an offensive mastermind?
pretty ironic when u look at CJs situation
English

@rc_texans WAJ is gonna light it up next yr (as expected) and gonna be too expensive for yall
English

I get the 5th year for stroud but not at all for Will Anderson Jr
Field Yates@FieldYates
The Texans have exercised the 2027 fifth-year options on the contracts of QB CJ Stroud and All Pro DE Will Anderson, per source. Stroud is now due $25.904M in 2027, while Anderson is due $21.512M. Both players are also extension eligible.

Jaguars HC Liam Coen on Trevor Lawrence:
"There is so much room to continue to improve. When you start with humility and toughness, I think you can do a lot with a QB. I'm really excited about working with Trevor again this year."
(via @SiriusXMNFL)

@rc_texans @Phezzyyyyy Allen is a whole different story Iโm not gonna comment on him.
Burrow just has incredible PR, Iโd expect him to play well heโs throwing to the highest paid WR duo in the league lol
English

@samork_ @Phezzyyyyy some QBs would be a worse player if their current OC left as we seen with Baker
some QBs elevate their scheme like burrow or allen
English

My QB was just a mvp finalist focus on ass man stroud please
๐ฆฆโ๏ธ@DropOutHouston
Trevor Lawerence is pushing 30 with 1 playoff win
English

@rc_texans @Phezzyyyyy What qb doesnโt significantly benefit from their scheme though
English

@samork_ @Phezzyyyyy thats why I said to some extent bc he significantly benefits from this specific scheme
at the end of the day it shouldnt matter bc its not like coen is leaving
English

@rc_texans @Phezzyyyyy I mean everything you just said is the benefit of playing in a qb friendly scheme. Not gonna fault him for playing in a scheme that benefits him
English

@samork_ @Phezzyyyyy revamped mechanics, increased pre snap, literally plays to lawrenceโs exact strengths
thereโs a reason he hasnโt had this success until Coen and why Baker is also playing terrible
but like I said this is only so some extent and TLaw is still a t10 QB and has great raw talent
English

@rc_texans @Phezzyyyyy What is so โultra specificโ about this scheme?
This scheme is not much different from the top offensive schemes in the nfl and every team is actively trying to be more like it lol
English

@samork_ @Phezzyyyyy he needed an ultra specific scheme and coen to fix his mechanics imo
donโt get me wrong still a t10 QB
English

@rc_texans @Phezzyyyyy Not really lol. A qb playing well in a qb friendly scheme while also consistently extending plays isnโt a scheme merchant
English

@samork_ @Phezzyyyyy all trolls end of the day but iโm right to some extent

more pre-snap operation and communication from Trevor Lawrence (born 1999) before he finds the checkdown for a 1st down.
Nate Tice@Nate_Tice
Trevor Lawrence does a great job of communicating pre-snap and changes the play to a trap run that catches the Colts on 2nd & 10

@cardiacatsbrand Personally think Hainsey has solidified himself as a cheap good center who has an affinity with Liam and the rest of the line, which id find hard to justify cutting to save some on cap
English

@samork_ Theyโre cheap enough to where they might not, but theyโre replaceable.
English

Here are some of my long-term perspectives on how the Jaguars should be planning ahead.
With 31 players under contract for 2027, the Jaguars are currently sitting with a total AAV(average annual value) of $256.4M, with the cap expected to be around $323M in total. They'll also have somewhere around 11 players added from the draft this year, and that'll probably take up another $15M in AAV.
That puts the Jaguars about $51.6M below the spending mark, but the following players wouldn't be under contract. Next to each name, I have a projection of what they may earn per year on a new contract.
WR Parker Washington($14M)
FS Antonio Johnson($11.5M)
DT Arik Armstead($10M)
LG Ezra Cleveland($10M)
TE Brenton Strange($10M)
NT Davon Hamilton($6M)
I'd be interested in bringing back everyone except Hamilton, and the Jaguars could also free up $39.5M in AAV by releasing LT Walker Little, RG Patrick Mekari, C Robert Hainsey, and SS Eric Murray.
In that scenario, the Jaguars would be wise to start finding long-term options for the interior of the offensive and defensive line. It'd be wise to knock out a future need in this draft with a trade-up, such as targeting LG Emmanuel Pregnon or DT Caleb Banks, then search for other values throughout the draft.
English

Yeah that's what i am thinking about when I watch Hurts throw his 3rd pick of the game

Does Jalen Hurts have a better career than your QB?
