@baddestmamajama @ElbaKroop I had awful bouts of cystic acne through my 20s and 30s. I tried everything (gut, antibiotics, topicals, etc). The only thing that finally worked was accutane at 41. It’s been 3 years… clear skin since. I wish I’d done it much sooner but I was scared of side effects too.

#skincare twitter, I summon thee. I had bad cystic acne my whole life. Five years ago I made it clear up 100% by cutting out cleanser and using a differin/BP Combo. Two months ago I became violently lactose intolerant, and suddenly my acne is back and bad as ever. WHYYYYY???
