The SAVE Act requires passport-level documentation to register to vote. 50% of Americans donโt have a passport. The people least likely to have passports: the elderly, the poor, rural Americans, young first-time voters. The people most likely to have passports: wealthy Americans. This is not voter protection. This is voter selection. And when a senator suggested fixing it โ his own colleague couldnโt name the last time the Senate amended anything. Thatโs the Senate in 2026.

@SirWarfare There is a large contingent of Christians that believe that giving everyone an id is the work of the antichrist so there is a large voting block against the idea, and they work hand in have with people who believe such a thing would be badly misused, so, no national ids

@SirWarfare But the social security number is just literally a number with few other attributes attached, so it's technically not even an ID number. The card you get is not a photo Id either, just (name) has (number)
