There are obviously also bad examples, like FC Tulsa the last years with white jerseys and patina greed lettering.

@schohl @RIDefiance1636 @DirigoUnion EPL is even less relevant to this issue. The point is, USL has the opportunity produce stadium atmospheres not seen elsewhere in the US. We understand that you don't want to deal with all the complaints from the HoP fans in the adjacent section.

We held way more tickets for your traveling group than to any other visiting team weโve had. Iโm sure youโll be plenty loud and wonโt even need to bother with those bulky unapproved musical instruments!

SGs donโt need drums to bring energy and grow the game

@schohl @RIRoten @RIDefiance1636 @DirigoUnion With respect, USL is trying to grow the game and its leagues, relying on supporters to create an atmosphere that drives that growth. You bring drums to other stadiums but suppress other SGs who want to do the same. Thatโs hypocritical. Other clubs seem to understand that, though.

@schohl @RIDefiance1636 The premier teams in the USL have figured it out including Rhode Island when HOP came here. What has worked: a drum limit and having even one security guard near our section (Pitt had zero and we were in the front on a path in and out). I hope you consider changing your mind

@RAHealey @RIDefiance1636 Our decisions are not based on that at all, and you know Iโm not taking a drunk fanโs side, but itโs important to know that these high tension situations are why most clubs around the world do what they can to focus on security and try to reduce behavior that can escalate tension

@schohl @DirigoUnion I will concede that the EPL are real clubs with passionate fans.. I just think it's a shame... The beauty of the USL is the community that the clubs are built upon and the engaging fanbases with great game day environments.
I get no pyro for away fans but drums is kinda flimsy

@RIDefiance1636 Please let me know which MLS clubs allow visiting supporters to bring in items that they wouldnโt allow their own fans to have outside of the supporters section. Having disruptive items in the regular grandstands would be a very rare thing in sold out stadiums!

@RAHealey @RIDefiance1636 I think there was also an unfortunate security incident in Pitt? While I would never condone that, it doesnโt help ease tension when away fans are given special treatment to disrupt that other non-supporter fans arenโt, and ensuring peace and safety is critically important

@schohl @RIDefiance1636 What does MLS have to do with this? We have the opportunity in USL to create a culture that MLS could only dream of. You play a massive part in that.
Louisville, Charleston, NC, and Pitt allowed RI to bring instruments for sold out playoff games and the atmosphere was amazing.

45-60min cut to 20/30, sending questions beforehand, sending metrics to show value e.g.
That's all happen before the real work starts.
