Are you a #CodeNewbie? I’d love to mentor you. I graduated from @TheIronYard 2ish years ago and I have worked on several projects/roles including @OpenStax and @GroupRaise. I wouldn’t be here without the support of my mentor, so I’m inspired to help someone else.

@violahogg Totally understandable! It really is that confusing bcus it’s soo full of “magic.” Tried to use ActionCable with React and I also struggled to wrap my head around it, actually. I’d recommend that you ask anyone of your coworkers for help or advice.

@laurenalexm It’s now or never! Haha. I would go if I were you. That’s all I can say. I know you’ll achieve your career goals either way but I also think that coding bootcamps speed up the process and facilitate it a little. And to me at least, time is money.

@laurenalexm Why not? Is the important question. I’d recommend it. Unless you really don’t need it. So do you need it? If so, just do it. If not, think about it twice.

I spent a part of last night helping a junior dev by remote debugging her app and I hadn't felt that useful in probably about 6 months..! Not sure what to think about that 😕😔

today I asked a senior engineer out for coffee! we chatted about career stuff and he gave great advice on how to be a better engineer i highly recommend reaching out to senior engineers who you think are cool, even if it seems scary. most love to mentor younger engs :)

Throwback to 4 weeks ago when I got my offer letter for my dream job!! Things are going great!!! It’s definitely been challenging but also definitely worth it! Trust me when I tell you that everything you do matters. #CodeNewbie, you’ve must keep going! Dreams do come true.
