Honestly I think Jax is actually one of the best trans fem reps we've had. Goose perfectly captured the pain and agony of repressing your true self in a way no c!s person could ever emulate or truly understand.

@bakucorral he apologised after coming back to life. jax did not get the chance to apologise after realsing she fucked up. because she died.

caine quite literally tortured everyone in episode 8 100x worse than jax ever did, but everyone is fine with him coming back to life and getting a redemption. but even when jax dies forever, this isn't deemed as enough punishment by fans and she is deemed irredeemable.

props to Gooseworx I think it takes a lot of guts as a trans woman to make a character that’s an amalgamation of your worst thoughts and tendencies pre transition only to have the internet pretty unanimously agree that guy needs to be killed with hammers

@CypherSirosicks i feel like there's definitely a reading to be made that the circus is allegorical to terminal internet usage in general, and jax realising "this is real" is comparable to an edgy teen realising that harassing people online has actual consequences and hurts real people.

People seem to forget the scene in Episode 8 when Jax finds out the Circus is real and starts having a panic attack over the fact that it and everything she's done has actually happened. And people also seem to ignore that after that, all her abuse seems to lessen if not stop

unironically i dont think IRL jax ever would become a bully like circus jax, simply because a lot of jax's vile behavior in the circus is because she's effectively pretending none of it's real and (incorrectly) doesn't think any of her actions have consequences
