The Verde Island Passage is considered to be the 'Amazon of the Oceans' because of its high concentration of marine life. Sadly, the ongoing oil spill puts the Oriental Mindoro side of this marine corridor in peril.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ The water tests done by the Philippine Coast Guard Recent show that traces of industrial fuel has now been found in the waters of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. The MT Empress Princess was carrying 800,000 liters of industrial oil before it eventually sunk. ⚠️⚠️⚠️
