Troops repel terrorists, recover motorcycle in Katsina By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA conducting operations in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State have repelled an encounter with suspected terrorists and recovered a motorcycle during a patrol. Sources said the incident occurred at about 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday when troops on a fighting patrol along the Kankara–Mabai road engaged the armed elements at Ruwan Lafia axis. According to the sources, the troops responded swiftly, forcing the terrorists to flee the scene under pressure. They added that the area was subsequently combed, leading to the recovery of a motorcycle believed to have been abandoned by the fleeing suspects. The recovered item is currently in custody, while operations continue in the area to track down the suspects and prevent further criminal activities.
