The first volume is underrated. It delivers everything a reader could want. It introduces the world of mysteries. It has some of the best character interactions. It gives its cast strong spotlight. Action, drama, slice of life, mystery, horror, etc. Top tier twists & ending, Amazing sacrifices & characters. For me, it’s one of the greatest Lord of Mysteries volumes.

LotM is built different 😭🙏 Both LOTM and TBHX finished airing at the same time. Back then, LOTM had around 70k ratings on Crunchyroll while TBHX had about 75k. But look at it now 92.3k vs 79.7k. Because of the fans, a lot of people who dropped it due to the fast pacing in the first 3 episodes came back, and new viewers joined too. Again, all thanks to the fans. And this is with 0 advertisement, delayed dub, trash subtitles when it was airing, cut content from the original episodes, and still no Japanese dub 😭🙏 (No shade to TBHX it was my second favorite anime last year.)

I’ve seen so many anime only fans read this arc and instantly put LOTM in their top 1, or at least their top 5. I seriously can’t wait to see this animated. As for SL, it’s on another whole dimension compared to them all, what it did for the manhwa world will forever put it on the top if we’re talking about popularity.
