Massive congrats to our Ryan Saratiu on winning his Dublin Novice Champion semi-final against a tough lad from St. Mary's. Ryan is back in action boxing his final next week.

Well done to our Madina, putting in a great performance to win her Dublin Boxing Board Junior 2 60kg semi final against a tough opponent in Sophie Davidson of Esker. Madina is back in action tomorrow, boxing her final against West Finglas.

To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the IABA is proud to celebrate the High Five Boxing Academy and the boxers, families, and clubs that make it an inspiring part of our community. Launched in 2021 across four Dublin clubs, Drimnagh Boxing Club, Crumlin Boxing Club St Catherine’s Boxing Club and Palmerstown by Paddy Dingle High Five was created to offer children with additional needs, and their families, a welcoming place within boxing. Since then, the programme has been embraced by the IABA and has become a valued part of 13 clubs across the Association. Tralee Boxing Club, Monivea Boxing Club, St Pauls Antrim A.B.C, Drimnagh Boxing Club, and Crumlin Boxing Club have come together to share how High Five has enriched their clubs and strengthened their communities. When competition is removed, boxing becomes uniquely adaptable and is shaped around each boxer’s abilities, goals, and pace. Reflections | Zauri Antia. Ireland’s former High Performance Head Coach, Zauri Antia, is reflecting on his 22 year career with IABA: the highs, the lows, and the people he met on his incredible boxing journey here. Zauri stepped down on November 19th, after a career in IABA which included 5 Olympic Games, 10 Olympic medals and over 150 benchmark medals. Internationally respected for his technical expertise, innovative coaching style, Zauri’s goal has always been to develop the Universal Boxer, one “who can fight any distance, any style” and his coaching has focused on ringcraft, attack and counterattack. A very busy weekend for SBC: Ciara boxed in the Zagreb Queen tournament and came home with silver, and Obi, Andrés and Ronan put in great performances in the National Intermediate Championships. Always learning 🥊

Champs of the future! Our Little Champs Squad is packed full of fun and talent. This group, for kids aged 5-8, trains on Wednesdays at 5pm. New members welcome 🥊

Delighted that our Senior Boxer, Ciara Walsh, has been selected to box for Ireland against India this Saturday in the National Stadium Congrats, Ciara!

Team SBC has jetted off to Rome for a sparring camp for Brooke, Madina, Ciara & Obi. We're delighted to be joined for the camp by Team Ireland boxer, Monivea's Adam Hession. And look who we ran in to at the airport. Our Ellie Farrell, who has qualified as Ryanair Cabin Crew 👏
