To expand on my thought process, it is impossible to guarantee that 100% of people pick EITHER option. Someone WILL pick Blue. Maybe they're stupid, maybe they are being altruistic. Regardless, by that logic, picking Red will ALWAYS condemn someone to death while saving yourself.

Blue button is the moral choice because picking the red button holds you culpable for the deaths of those who picked blue. Removing all ethics, red would be the safest choice because most people instinctively will choose the blue button.
