Do they not realize that this just doesn’t make any sense for her character arc? They were literally like “this traumatized child’s value is in what she can do for others and not in herself” for 5 seasons. And ended it w that. This y’all’s most important character😭 I’m not even saying she needed a happy ending, but how was this going to feel even slightly correct to any viewer at all lol???

The Duffers say there was never a different fate for Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’: “There was never a version of the story where Eleven was hanging out with the gang at the end. For us and our writers, we didn’t want to take her powers away. She represents magic in a lot of ways and the magic of childhood. For our characters to move on and for the story of Hawkins and the Upside Down to come to a close, Eleven had to go away. We thought it would be beautiful if our characters continued to believe in that happier ending even if we didn’t give them a clear answer to whether that’s true or not. The fact that they’re believing in it, we just thought it was such a better way to end the story and a better way to represent the closure of this journey and their journey from children to adults.”

Being this nitpicky about everything is why comedy is shit now frankly. Like I said - we don’t need to be telling jokes in poor taste. Dave Chappelle is an example of someone who does that often and it bombs for a reason. But this is not a problem at all just because it *sounds* dicey. Look at the fucking context

She was very willing to be there for the line though because comedy is all about making fun of ourselves. That’s what a joke is😭 If it’s problematic in a way that’s clearly offending everyone participating- then oh my god yes it’s just a bad joke. But yall please chill this is just what comedy is supposed to be
