This is crazy. Storforshei, Norway has reached 30°C for 12 consecutive days. To be clear, this is right on the edge of the Arctic circle. The extent & duration of this heatwave is nothing short of astonishing.

This is astonishing. Record breaking temperatures across the entire Mediterranean basin and very anomalous warmth to the southwest of the UK and through the Bay of Biscay. Anomalies are >5C above where they should be at this time of year.

A mega heatwave is hitting Europe this week and into next weekend! Incredible temperatures of 16 °C above normal in large parts of France, with tropical nights exceeding 20 °C, putting vulnerable groups at risk.
