Conducted a workshop on "Git and GitHub: from basics to internals" at @hackthisfall hacktoberfest meetup! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’™ Super glad to meet such amazing folks, talk about internal working of Git, hands-on the commands and enable folks to raise their first PR in the open source world โœจ

Is it just me who feels like this is overkill to โ€œaskโ€ to open apps and do stuff, that I can do myself directly? Of course, for complex things - maaaybe I need them. The apps on my system are built for best user experience. But now, there is no user; only agents!

last april, we had around 250,000 meaningful activities being done on the platform, which was just games played this April, we're going to have over 10 million of these games being played on the platform Feels so surreal.

Joined Razorpay as Principal Engineer II :) From being a long-time customer to now building parts of the system - it's a full circle. Fintech is a new territory for me - time to get under the hood of how money actually moves. New domain, same guarantees - availability, correctness, performance - just with real money on the line.

Can anyone help me connect with the @WorkOS team? Many of our AutoSend users want this integration and I'd love to chat with them directly about making it happen. If you know someone there or have an intro, I'd be grateful! Do some magic X ๐Ÿคž

Some people at frontier AI labs told me they believe startups are over. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI will absorb every industry as AGI nears. Coding today, science, medicine, and finance next. Then everything else. If theyโ€™re right, thatโ€™s a pretty boring end of the world.

Hereโ€™s a formula from ancient Bharat to calculate the Circumference of a circle. (See Pi value). Originally, used to explain cosmos; this must have been a pillar of Indian architecture excellence. Happy Pi Day - from India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Reference: Kashaypahud, Jainacharya Viresen

"Not every decision is about money. Sometimes itโ€™s about who youโ€™re building with and what youโ€™re becoming" The most important gain at Matiks has been the learning or connections you'll build here. Where doesn't matter whether you're a fresher or an intern, you're handling real ownership, big budgets and work. And, now that I have known these people for a year, today, I won't mind starting something new without getting paid for the first 6 months.
Ritesh Shandilya@k123ritesh

Iโ€™ve been seeing a lot of comments saying my cofounder is โ€œexploitingโ€ me after his post about me. So let me clarify a few things. Before joining @MatiksHQ , I had already done 2 years of internships, including 8 months at my previous company where I was earning around โ‚น25k/month. When I was planning to leave that role, I wasnโ€™t desperately looking for money. I was looking for time to explore, learn, and build something meaningful. (bhai mai 2nd year m hi money minded kyu ban jata๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ and tabhi funding aayi nhi thi btw warna investors ke paise to leta hi ) Then I came across @MatiksHQ . I actually reached out to them first, asking if I could contribute as an open-source contributor because I liked what they were building and wanted to be part of it. For the first week, I worked unpaid simply because I was curious and wanted to learn. No one forced me to do that. Later we decided on a stipend.(5K for next one week) Also, my current tenure at Matiks is more than 18 months now, which means itโ€™s almost 4 years of internships in total across different companies. So if someone still wants to say โ€œintern hi rahegaโ€, thatโ€™s fine, I know the kind of experience and ownership Iโ€™ve gained in these years. One more context people might be missing: when I first connected with Matiks I was still in my 2nd year of college. At that time, the founders being from IIT was honestly a big โ€œwowโ€ moment for me, which made it easier for me to trust what they were building. Another reason I trusted the project early on was that they were already working in MNCs, so I initially thought this was just a fun side project they were building, and I was excited to contribute and learn. People on the internet often reduce everything to โ€œsalary = value.โ€ But early in your career, learning, ownership, and real responsibility can be far more valuable than a paycheck. Working closely with founders, building real products, and solving real problems has taught me more than most classroom lectures ever did. So no, Iโ€™m not being exploited. I chose this path intentionally. And honestly, Iโ€™m grateful for the opportunity to build something from the ground up. Not every decision is about money. Sometimes itโ€™s about who youโ€™re building with and what youโ€™re becoming. This is the exact full story from my side. I know I canโ€™t reply to every hater, especially the ones using vulgarity. sorry for the 1-day late reply, @elonmusk review hi nahi kar rahe the. and @elonmusk you should say thanks to ur community that i bought x premium just to write my journey which became controversy๐Ÿคฃ If someone still thinks that post was rage bait then itโ€™s your choice.

@cortisoul_ Exactly. Was waiting for this one. They crib because they canโ€™t breathe a happy working environment. And why it is ALWAYS about pay? Can it not be about obsession, fun and bond? Can never understand. Proud of your appreciation post man, and the solid guy too.

ppl took a normal appreciation post out of context its about the first guy who believed in us..when matiks was just a side project his stipend grew more times than the number of months he has been with us...do ur math ..am not even counting the esops here from his day1 in blr, first @SushantTimmapur gave him his room, and today we live under a common roof. Just something ppl would do with their younger brother. Am sorry your jobs & bosses suck and dont appreciate your work with compensation or other acts, but dont assume the same happens everywhere This post remains about the first guy who took a bet on us, and how lucky we are to have him
Sudhanshu | Matiks@cortisoul_

everyone talks about founders nobody talks about the team so here i am talking about the people who build matiks. first up, ritesh he was a 3rd year student interning somewhere for โ‚น25k we offered โ‚น5k he still joined not for money but for learning. said working closely with IIT grads would teach him more joined in september'24, the same month we had all quit our jobs we moved to bangalore in october he came too, on that stipend we were working 7 days a week then told him to take sundays off and he said, โ€œwhat would i even do?โ€ over time heโ€™s become like a younger brother still an intern, graduating this year but iโ€™ll bet โ‚น5L heโ€™s better than most engineers with 5 years of experience in bangalore. rare to find people like @k123ritesh
