This is why K-pop will never be completely global. The fans. The absolute audacity of people who have never ran a business, never performed on a stage, and never wrote a song to tell an industry veteran how to run his business based off of their parasocial fixations. K-pop system has done a real shit job on the brains of the fans. Just because you have dedicated your life to obsessing about people online does not give you rights over what happens with their careers. Lol. K-pop fans are fickle and hypocritical. On one end they whine about wanting companies and CEOs to be transparent. But when they see one that is actually transparent, they move the goal post into wanting to control what that CEO is doing. It’s absurd What I see #JayPark is doing and how he is navigating the career of #LngShot is to create a path for them outside of the limitation of the K-pop system. The K-pop bubble is suffocating the potential of so many great acts. because of its dependencies . @JAYBUMAOM is setting them up to not have to rely on the dependency of fandom , comebacks , music shows, and parasocial fixations. The tour is an amazing decision. It feels very true to hip-hop and R&B culture that I grew up on.. And opening act from a rookie group for an industry legend. No matter how much you hate on Jay Park you cannot take away his accolades and his talent. He has successfully bridged, KR&B hip-hop, and K-pop. Like Teddy understood with # Blackpink, KPOP IS JUST MUSIC, it has to compete with more than itself to be truly successful . So it is important to capture the ears and hearts of music lovers . A casual listener of music is more important than obsessed fans. K-pop listeners only make up 2% of music listeners. You are not special. Jay Park wants the other 98% for LngShot . Continue to push back.
