Non-tech communities, probably less impacted by the shut down of third party clients, are the ones that keep me from abandoning the platform entirely.

For tech communities yes. Others not so much. For example, photographers I follow here remain active and no one moved to Mastodon yet. Would be interesting to see when, if at all, that happens.

1. One price tag. No tiers.
2. No recommendations or algorithms.
3. The design.
