and to think max’s and oscar’s crashes were made fun of and called skill issues by some, sucks that it’s taken ollie being visibly hurt for everyone to start taking the complaints more seriously. glad he’s okay and hope the fia can sort this shit before something worse happens.

when was the last time you saw an F1 driver limping away from a crash? Max and Oscar’s crashes in Australia and Ollie’s big shunt in Japan today .. they are all from those sudden battery power spikes under 2026 regs exactly like Alonso warned…. overtaking feels “accidental” now you suddenly have more battery power than the car ahead during close racing. This forces a split-second choice: crash into them or successfully pass (more like dodging a collision)… or maneuver evasively without a true overtake… they have 5 weeks.. ⏳
