Apparently the 2026 national table tennis championships (全国乒乓球锦标赛) , teams and singles, for China are being rescheduled. They were supposed to start on May 15.

Not using Lin yunju until the knockout stage, losing every match during the group stage so they ended up being seed no.4, made it to the quarterfinals against Sweden, Lin yunju won 2 points and Kao guanhong (age 17) won 1 against Anton kallberg… it’s an impressive run honestly

Looking back, Chinese Taipei’s run during the world team championships was seriously quite impressive…

WTT schedule is so? WTT champions Yokohama is august 4-9 and then Europe Smash is August 8-16 with singles R64 starting on the 10th?

I don’t get why it’s being rescheduled when there’s no time during the 2nd half of the year and Chinese super league is May 27-31. The main players haven’t gone to play since like 2023… and it’s honestly better to just take a break than play in this tournament in my opinion

@_mikeytt It is random lol. Before the Olympics, wang chuqin mentioned in multiple interviews how one of his role models is Ronnie O’Sullivan. And I think a news related staff member got them in contact with each other and they sent each other a signed paddle/cue last year.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, one of the most accomplished players in snooker history, sent a birthday message Wang Chuqin for his birthday. He’s one of wang chuqin’s role models. Hopefully one day they do get to play pool and/or table tennis together!
