According to Creators, who were given information by BHVR, this Jason is an original interpretation sort of like Ghost Face. He is not the same Jason as from the F13 movies, and his lore will probably be changed to reflect that.

part of me is very disappointed about the fact that this isn’t the Jason we all know and love but honestly my excitement for meeting this new one is overtaking that disappointment greatly. I’ve loved Jason since I was a little kid and now he’s in my favorite game of all time 😭😭
