Impressed by the vibrancy of Bangalore—the bookshops, the high-tech stores, people of different backgrounds & religions, the coffee houses, conversations & even a K. C. Das sweet shop. India’s center of politics may be moving right, but India’s center of gravity is moving south.

My first 5K in months on a cold but contemplative and inspiring route along the Italian coast. Gearing up for the year ahead. May it be filled with good health and joy for everyone!

I completed a 5K run #2025econ5k along the Adriatic coast. With a shoulder surgery scheduled in less than 2 weeks am OK with 33 minutes. Will pick up pace next year :)

@dieworkwear Countless artists, young and old, keep this tradition alive, yet many don’t receive the recognition or rewards they deserve. I often choose Khadi for its style and breathability—essential for my fieldwork in India.

When people think of menswear crafted with a high-degree of workmanship, they think of places such as France, Italy, and the UK. Some may think of Japan. But few will think of India, even though some of the most incredible workmanship is happening there now. Let me show you. 🧵

@dieworkwear Thanks for the insightful thread! I know an Italian family in the yarn and high-quality fabric business who visit India annually to source clothing and admire the incredible craftsmanship and artistry. Be it silk, cotton, or the Khadi you’ve highlighted.
