Has ANYONE else seen RUNAWAY, Tom Selleck? it was one of my most fav films growing up!!! I am going to try find a copy to show son..it's ripe for a re-make!

Yep, The Boys is terrible now. Homelander kept me watching but inevitably gets overused. Soldier Boy gets a laugh out of me now and again. As does Butcher.

@JDeanniemeyer @For_Film_Fans Yes, even as a child, I was keenly aware that his presence elevated the movie dramatically. Made it mythical.

Nobody seems to understand that Alec Guiness is the MVP of Star Wars, period. ALL the participants were vital to the outcome, but his particular gravitas, perfect acting, fatherly presence - and the changes he brought to the very worst of Lucas' dorky dialogue - took the film from a B-movie to the most important, influential motion picture in history.

An unhappy ALEC GUINNESS writes to a friend whilst filming STAR WARS in 1976 and references a “rangy, languid young man who is probably intelligent and amusing” by the name of ‘Tennyson’ or ‘Ellison’ Ford.

@HorrorPaperback Happened so many times to me! But that art was so awesome I forgave the trickery!

My generation learned the hard way to deal with disappointment. We'd rent videos with incredible Vallejo-esque box art: a vast post-apocalyptic hellscape populated with bizarrely-clad warriors and snarling mutants, everything on fire. Then we'd hit play and it was dogshit.

Catching up on Invincible. I don't know the lore, but if Space Racer's gun was capable of 'that', then why didn't the stupid Viltrumites take him out first?

Was there ever a more underrated film at its time of release than Event Horizon? It’s the definition of the term, “cult classic”, surely?

Reading Darkblade Assassin by Andy Peloquin on my holidays. It's ticking all the boxes so far; very gory, great characters and story.

1981 Clash of the Titans is peak. But I get angry every time when Perseus wanders off to be invisible and forgets that incredible sword! 🤣

Watched the new Running Man and was more entertained than I expected. Decent B movie stuff. People forget how hard an act peak Arnie was to follow, but new lead did good. Story just needed more Verhoeven satirical energy! Bit more bite.

Invincible. Never read the comics but watched the amazon show since it started. I still can't decide whether I like it or not! Parts of it have me rolling my eyes, then parts of it pull me back in for ten minutes. I'll reserve judgement until the series end.
