Bingo. I'm not saying scrap the rivalry, but it's not a benefit to Iowa to play it every year.

@DavidEickholt I’m for keeping the game but maybe take a break once every five years so BOTH teams can add a different opponent. I’d like to see Iowa do a neutral site vs someone like Florida State or Oklahoma etc.

Unpopular opinion, but Iowa needs to drop Iowa State some years. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the rivalry aspect is fun and all.
But people want to see Iowa vs. Notre Dame or some other P5 team.
