That silence has been misused to fuel false claims and pressure campaigns directed at producers and platforms. It is time to set the record straight. Owen Hawk, also known as Robert Felt, a co-owner of Dark Alley Media, does not own RFC. Here are the facts. The RFC brand was operated pursuant to a joint venture between the parties from 2019 through 2024. That relationship ended in 2024. Since that time, ownership and operation of the RFC platform and associated marks have rested with PPVNetworks, the company that has operated the streaming platform continuously since 2007. The termination occurred because of serious compliance and legal risk that PPVNetworks could not and would not assume. Audits and supporting materials identified Dark Alley Media’s substantial failures relating to legally required Section 2257 documentation and recordkeeping, and the absence of a functioning compliance framework. In addition, PPVNetworks faced significant third-party claims connected to recordkeeping deficiencies and disputed content ownership. Operating under those conditions was not acceptable. PPVNetworks will not operate a platform that exposes creators, partners, or the business itself to regulatory, legal, or compliance risk. There is ongoing litigation between the parties.
