@l3ath3rlov3 call it* forgot a word don’t kill me. all rape is sexual abuse/sexual assault, but not all sexual abuse/sexual assault is rape. i think we need to go back and actually talk about that, acknowledging that both are sexual trauma but still holding a distinction.

@l3ath3rlov3 this is disingenuous. it’s trans men telling trans women not to it rape. i think the honest problem comes from different experiences with rape, AND the recent conflation of sexual assault/abuse and rape. while puberty is 100% sexual trauma, maybe even abuse, it is not rape.

trans men telling trans women that going through male puberty isn’t traumatic like yeah i’m sure YOU wouldn’t find it traumatic

@ratkingtheory I did not say that. This is about GENDER BASED oppression. Trans men cannot oppress on the basis of gender alone, so lumping us under "men dni" as if we don't have higher rates of sexual assault and abuse than c!s women is just blatant erasure and transphobia

@rodrickofedtwt many many intersex ppl have spoken out about how they don't like how the terms are being used, because they face daily criticisms by the trans community when those terms are used in their intended way.

@rodrickofedtwt the original terms were built for intersex people because of the "assigned" part. sometimes that implies that *something* was wrong in that assessment. i've seen SO many ppl ask how amab trans men/afab trans women exist, bc they just see the terms as "born female" or "born male"
