It would be interesting to see data on how many H-1B visa holders have purchased homes in the U.S. while still on H-1B status.
A follower from Texas confirmed:
✅ Many of these homes in Dallas, TX, are being purchased by H-1Bs.
✅ They publicly claim they’re not buying, but in reality, they are.
✅ Many sell off their properties in India to fund multiple home purchases here for rental income.
My original post for context:
I've received multiple DMs from H-1Bs in Dallas discussing real estate.
For reference, they often call Dallas "Dallaspuram"—with "puram" meaning an Indian town.
🏡 Home prices in the $500,000–$800,000 range have dropped by at least $100,000 over the past year and continue to decline.
📉 Many believe 2026 will be the market’s low point, making it the best time to buy.
🔄 Now, many Indian homeowners are trying to sell.
