Hustler 6BTV plus 17m mod project is done. 24 radials were installed so far. Signals in all bands covered are great to various DX including EU, South Pacific and Japan. It is worth the pain installing the radials 😅 #hamradio #cw

A quick #cw #qrp #POTA detour to US-2981 T.O Fuller St. Park after business meeting in Memphis, TN before going back home. 19 QSO with a very minimal setup using #Elecraft #KX2 and #AX1 antenna on my rental car's roof top. #hamradio

Now this #ELECRAFTK1 lights up. Thanks to the cheap backlight mod from #w1sfr on the internet ....yes I saw tlbleeds on the sides but I don't mind. I need also some lights on those buttons anyway 😃. Made of 4 small 3v leds in connected in series #cw #hamradio #qrp #POTA

I decided going vertical with Hustler 7BTV (6BTV plus 17m) and got rid of my EFHW. Result was amazing! First contact on 10m to Brazil #PY3PZ then RBN in Canary Island and Namibia, Africa on 17m. I haven't put any radials yet, that's next project. #hamradio #cw #morsecode

@cqde_wf4v Surprisingly a very quiet vertical antenna. Minimal noise. I am running Yaesu FTDX-101MP barefoot @ 200w.

Got my hand on a beautiful used #ElecraftK1 2 bands #cw #qrp only 20m and 15m for a good deal. Also got a 40m and 20m filter board for add'l bands. Selective and very nice sounding receiver. #POTA hunting coast to coast today with only 5.5 watts. #hamradio #morsecode

@Kc3Snr Yes. She is loaded with ATU, NB, and internal batt option. I got 7.1w on 40m and 5.5w on 20m from the additional filter board. Just swap it as needed. I saw cheap backlight mod on the internet. 👍

@HowiePepper 40m ssb around 7.055 in the morning is The Indonesian National Traffic Net. They are big on 40m antennas. 😅 I can hear them on my mobile station almost every morning on my errand.

While out hunting POTA CW activators this morning, I noticed a lot of QRM in the CW portion of 40 meters. It was around the 7.050MHz - 7.065MHz area.
