The season’s not over yet - still got The Tour to come and if you fancy watching a fun game of cricket with a can of cider in your hand - all Star friends are welcome at The Brownsword next Sunday for the annual Presidents match

The only score to report today is Rain 1 Cricketers 0. A shame to miss out on a game against Old England - a great bunch of lads who always give us a close match. The league season ends with The Star perilously close to the bottom but with enough points to retain Div 1 status.

Ended with an honourable defeat - some good knocks for The Star but Bristol Aces took their catches and won by 40 runs.

A classic day of Sunday cricket - beautiful weather, some great batting & bowling performances & a star cc batting collapse 😂 not sure it would have made much difference if our middle order had turned up, we were beaten by a very good Bristol Indians side. We’ll be back ✊

The Star won the toss and elected to bat. A great anchoring innings from the skipper allowed Chris Sowton to let loose at the other end. We’re 140-2 from 25 vs Old England at @LongAshtonCC
