jfc what a day. went to airport 3 hours early for flight to brisbane then onto rockhampton figured i’d vibe code in the lounge for a bit first flight delayed 2 hours. then another 1 hour. go to flight desk immediately to ask if i need to do anything. since the connection super tight now virgin: don’t worry sir we’ve already changed both your flights to tomorrow me: no thanks i’ll keep the seat i checked into and get a hotel in brisbane, as this likely happens again tomorrow imo virgin: sorry we already gave someone else your seat. me: another will do virgin: sorry sir, fully booked me: another airline? virgin: all fully booked me: so the seat i checked into, super early and also paid extra for, to get a good one…? and now you’re fully booked despite me being here literally first? virgin: yes then they show me flights they booked for me tomorrow. only 45 mins in brisbane. bad idea with all these delays. literally the worst possible seats on the plane too. right next to the shitter. on a flight to qld. aussies understand me: why do i have such shit seats when i paid extra? virgin: you’ll have to pay extra again. this is a different flight so now i’m on an overnight train to brisbane so i definitely can make the flight to rocky regardless what happens beforehand sleepers are out of service. first class booked out. sat in economy for the next 14 hours. no wifi. no charger. not even a usb port guess i’ll just rawdog this madcunt as my battery is at 6% and i didn’t bring a power bank my mum was also thrilled to hear that i had to cancel tonight’s dinner reservation ps. can’t even sit my macbook flat on the tray table because of this retarded design

people messaging me if this is real crazy how much of a blindspot australia is for many people i have lived in a bunch of places but nothing beats australia in terms of quality of life there’s high trust, people are friendly, lots of natural ressources, developed economy, far from conflict, incredible weather it’s hard not to be happy down here
