Iran has captured American pilots. Most people think this is new. It is not. Iran has done this before and they follow the exact same steps every time. Here is the playbook. @AliR_Ahmadi The F-15 is faster, has better range, and can carry a heavier payload. My layman's guess is that planners underestimated the strength of Iranian air defenses, and were assuming they could just fly in and bomb shit unopposed like they were used to, so stealth wouldn't matter.

Why would the US send an F-15 into Iranian airspace at all? Isnt this exactly what the F-35 was made for?

Bad press? Iran's air defense systems are now the least effective in recorded history! They've hit TWO PLANES in 32 days. Over 20,000 sorties and they've hit TWO. HAHAHAHAHA. Bad press? This is an air campaign that will be studied for the next 50 years. The people in charge of Iran's air defense will have to go into hiding....

@AliR_Ahmadi 2 reasons, the F35 requires 13-22 hours of ground maintenance for each flying hour, so most F35’s now on the ground. Secondly the F35 is not a platform designed for low level regular bombing missions it was designed for firing stand-off missiles - which are now running low🤨
