The core skills of learning are a critical eye and an open mind. Critical thinking is refusing to accept ideas at face value. Don't believe information until it's verified. Openness is refusing to reject ideas at face value. Don't disbelieve information until it's falsified.

@eduleadership I’m an educator and administrator and disagree. Instrumental music can help with creativity and thinking. I have music playing in the background when I work and walk through classrooms where it can be calming and set the tone for the learning environment.

Kids don’t need to listen to music on their phones while they’re working

Board games are a great way to build problem-solving skills as well as social skills needed to take turns and teach sportsmanship.

Great things to consider so that all students can access and construct learning.
