We’re making the TTC safer. Today, City Council approved a pilot project to expand Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) to some of the busiest parts of the TTC. Starting November 15, trained crisis workers will be on the TTC’s Line 1 downtown U. They’ll be there to help people in distress, working alongside TTC staff and police, to keep riders safe. These professionals know how to de-escalate, listen, and connect people to care. It’s about meeting people where they are and ensuring no one faces a crisis alone. Together, we’re getting Toronto moving.
