Obviously melee is more mechanically difficult; competing in each game tests different things But downplaying the difficulty of consistently performing well in a game like ultimate is just funny to me; the players at the top that can do that still impress me so much

The only thing I'll say about melee vs ult is that the average melee player's brain would explode if they had to go from fighting 10 viable characters to 80 You already ragequit on unranked when you match into mid tiers; good like trying to prep for Duck Hunt on wifi

I think they do a pretty decent job of picking the best player despite all the criticism. But more objective rankings typically have a slight jokic lean this season and last.
