It should be pretty obvious at this point that AI is a "force multiplier" not a "labor substitute".
It helps experts be better at things they are already good at. It doesn't let beginners match experts.
If you can't write, anything you write with AI will be unmitigated slop.
If you aren't a software engineer, anything you vibecode with AI will have security holes and won't be able to scale past a toy demo.
If you blindly trust AI to deliver on a research task without knowing the subject matter, you won't be able to fact-check it.
There's this weird misconception of AI as something that completely levels the playing field. I don't see it that way at all. There are mathematicians deriving novel lemmas with off-the-shelf models. Normal people can't do that.
AI is a tool that makes experts better. It doesn't make everyone into an expert.

@NickFreiling @brithume Almost all of the stuff you read from advisors and consultants is unedited slop these days. At a minimum I wish they’d use Claude rather than GPT since the latter is so bad and cringingky obvious.

Mine was condemned to death and executed by firing squad in Tehran in 1981 for attempting to fund a coup as he opposed the religious rule and believed in the separation of church and state.
The family was close to the monarchy and did everything they could to fight against the Islamic Republic.

Today, 44 years ago my grandfather was executed for owning a Bahá'í prayer book and not converting to Islam. I never met him physically but i often see him smiling somewhere in the corner on an armchair looking over his great-grandkids. I hope one day i will be able to go to a free Iran and visit Qasr prison, where he was killed.

어제 펀치가 공격당한 영상에 대한 이치카와시 동물원의 입장문입니다! 오역이나 의역이 있을 수도 있습니다. 저는 이치카와시 동물원의 사육담당자입니다. 현재 널리 퍼져있는 몇몇 영상을 보았습니다. 펀치가 무리의 다른 새끼원숭이에게 다가갔는데 그 새끼 원숭이가 피하게됐습니다. 이번에 펀치를 끌고간 원숭이는 펀치가 소통하려고 다가간 어린 원숭이의 어미로 보입니다. 아마도 어미원숭이는 자식이 싫어하는 일을 당한 것 같아 '나쁜 짓 하지 마라'고 화낸 것이 아닐까 생각합니다. 펀치는 무리에 합류한 후에 여러차례 훈육을 받으며 무리와 소통하는 방법을 배워왔습니다. 훈육당한 직후에는 놀라서 인형으로 숨지만, 조금 시간이 지나고 다른 원숭이들과 소통했습니다. 영상은 2월 19일 오전에 일어난 일로 보이지만, 12시와 15시에 먹이를 줄 때 펀치는 평소와 크게 다르지 않았습니다. 원숭이 무리와 합류시키기 위해 이런 일이 일어날 수 있다는 점 각오했습니다. 지금까지 여러번 혼난 적은 있지만 한 번도 펀치를 진심으로 공격하려는 원숭이는 없었습니다. 펀치는 혼이 나도 금방 회복하는 정신력을 겸비하고 있습니다. 다양한 원숭이와 소통하려다가 훈육당하는 과정이니 안타깝다고만 생각하지 말고, 펀치의 노력을 응원해주셨으면 합니다. #がんばれパンチ
