Compared to now, TWICE surpasses SNSD in almost every metric, meanwhile SNSD is bigger in South Korea due to their legacy, but they don't really have that big of a fanbase outside of Korea, compared to TWICE, they have a well structured fanbase globally, as to why they're bigger

SNSD fans believe that their fav is bigger than TWICE, when they haven't toured outside of asia - They never had the demand to perform in stadiums compared to TWICE, and their respective eras were different, which is why SNSD's fans are mostly in asia while TWICE's is worldwide

I barely see people compare popularity between Britney Spear and cerrent artists from western. But I always see newbies k-pop fans compare between SNSD and gen 3 4 5 Idols. Obsession for surpassing SNSD is crazy.
