Your refs stays in Eagle, Mymind, Cosmos. Your work lives elsewhere. Every context switch breaks your flow. Imagine pulling that whole library into context with a single keystroke — anywhere on your Mac. That's what @guillemcotcha and I are quietly building for months. Meet Fray.

@vanshdevx @joshpuckett Well it depends of your references. I’d say it is the other way around. The bar feels low until you are experienced enough to filter the noise.

@joshpuckett the bar feels high until you realize how few people consistently put in the extra effort

If there's one thing I could impress upon younger designers and engineers it's this: Uncommon effort is easier to demonstrate than you think. Yes, it requires more work. But you'd be shocked at how low the bar is for any sort of opportunity or relationship you're pursuing.

I was talking about craft earlier. There is an infinite amount of it in this project. Loving every moving pixel.

Introducing → icon.museum App icons are one of the most prominent parts of an app, and a huge amount of care goes into crafting the finest ones So I built this digital museum to collect them Will be adding new icons regularly, let me know what you think! :)

@jeremylemardele Hey Jérémy, I tried to DM you also, but apparently I need some x certification to send you a message. Could you send me the DM?

One of the things I'm most proud of for Pica (better font management for MacOS) is that the app is fully native, and as a result, extremely small and performant. In a world of slop and bloat, I think it's still worth it to take the time to do it right. pica.joshpuckett.me

Just scrolled past a bunch of people building tools close to ours with insane level of details. So stimulating. It's also hard to not feel behind. I can pour so much time into craft and polish... can't wait to be there. But there's a time for done, and a time for perfect. tbc

@sekachov 👋 hey, Building something somewhat similar here. Dude, your transitions are so smooth, the flow looks seamless. I'm so eager to be at this level of polish ❤️ x.com/untoldecay/sta…

eagle is too clunky, mymind is too ugly, arena is too slow, freeform is too buggy, figjam is too web, cosmos is almost perfect, but not local. all i needed was apple photos app, but for collecting references. so i made one. it's native, it's local, and it's blazing fast.

Itterating on Fray capture chrome extension, giving some love to the drag and drop look and feel. Browser extension allows to drag and drop any images into Fray, or trigger the focus mode to activate drag and drop entire x posts 💡(experimental pattern)

@putrikarunian @lunagraphHQ I’m 100% your target then? Being product designer who devs, now strongly leaning on vibe engineering. Is it open to try? I believe there is a subscribe on your landing. I’ll drop my mail : )

@untoldecay @lunagraphHQ thanks! yeahh it’s actually more closer to code. so between Figma and code. it’s best for design engineers, so designers who are comfortable with code.

@pablostanley Wow. So useful and playful! I worked on Ledger nano 5 gen font and icons last year, and this could have help me a lot when I was walking in « dithered territories » 😄

@13doots @trykelo Su per nice ✨. I had the same interaction idea couple of weeks ago (thinking about how to achieve frictionless note taking on iOS) but I failed at implementing it in my swift projet. Could you point me in the good direction? 🙏
