You can also get this way cheaper additionally if you go to Paju or Ansan, Chungju etc areas etc. Bus/KTX rides to seoul will take about an hour from these locations, Paju less so, but if you're here to bootcamp then your concern shouldn't be going out to socialize like a degen w/ other bootcampers blowing their cash claiming LoL is their forefront priority while their actions scream much differently. -If you are bringing your own PC then you want a goshitel or livingtel, unless you're willing to go outside of Seoul, then you can get a goshiwon as they'll naturaly be higher quality despite the name. Livingtel/goshitel's will run 500,000krw a month max usually but have everything included and usually offer a community kitchen w/ some free food provided unlimited (ramen/rice/eggs/kimchi/etc) you can use to make meals and save money. -Download Papago and ChatGPT, now you never need to speak Korean. If anyone tells you that these two things can't do everything for you in Korean (even at doctors offices) they're lying. Unless you're in an extreme situation these will handle 99.999% of problems for you, and the Camera function on Papago allows you to even translate images. -Get an account from a trusted source, otherwise good chance it could be taken back from you if you hit X rank and you just go to log in one day and the password is changed. -Uber apparently works in Korea, but I don't have experience with it as I have a KSSN and use KakaoTaxi. -Download KakaoTalk prior to coming to Korea, it's the main messanger for everything and some things link to it. -You can buy a T-Money card from any Convenience Store for $10, then charge it any amount and use it for all public transport. -Get unlimited data plan from the phone providers at the airport when you land, it should be about $80 per month for the SIM or ESIM. -Some peoples cards get declined at places, so maybe bring a bit of cash and exchange at airport prior to going through at arrivals (this sounds counter initiative but it used to be best exchange rate in country) My side bit: In my opinion the bootcamp you're trying to do is a waste of time/money if it's less than 6months in length, and much an overweight person being picked up and dropped off on a fitness island for 30days, once you the leave, so will the gains.
