I've been playing Borderlands 2 again on my 360 and I remember why I think it's the best of the four. I also remembered why I hate the Borderlands games. So much of it feels like a maze and even with the map it is quite easy to get turned around and lost.

@ES_DE_Frontend Thanks. ES-DE on Android is still great but I once forgot to reenable the virtual controller and locked myself out of the phone, because ES-DE was the default launcher, until I got home. Perhaps a toggle that turns off the virtual controller only when a physical one is connected?

@voteDC Android version will always run the same as other versions and most games will run using either physical or virtual controller so it maintains the experience. That said we do have a card to look at touch screen input for all versions.

How many people have tried xbox emulation on android? We have been testing it a bit as part of adding support and wondered how well it has been working across the many many many android devices?

@GamewithDave Only in games where I play them on multiple platforms. Worse are those games, such as Arkham City, that keep the button placement for combat the same across platform (Counter being top of the diamond for example) but change things for the menus.

Do you struggle with this?

@fleurmeston For the last ten years I've had to see my Dad unable to do anything for himself after a stroke. If I ever get in that state I hope someone will put a pillow over my face and finish me off. I've seen a living nightmare and I never want to experience it myself.

@JamieMoranUK The 360/PS3/Wii era was really the best. The Tomb Raider reboot looks amazing on the 360. You do have to wonder if the visuals of today are really that much better to require the specs demanded to run them?

To me, late 7th Gen Graphics still & will always look amazing. Graphics continued to get better but never really tried to be realistic. There was a wide variety of art styles, these games look timeless. Mass Effect 3 released in 2012, graphically, aesthetically still brilliant

@thatstarwarsgrl If they want Wash in the show more than just flashbacks then they need to set it between Firefly and Serenity. Given the age of the actors that can't be live action.

Animated?… I’m sorry but that’s dumb & something no one wanted. Just do live action set a decade or 2 later. Thats it there’s your show.

I was not aware of how fun the actual dispatching in this game is, I'd pay for an infinite mode or roguelike spinoff of that gameplay or something, AMAZING GAME.

Every couple of months I feel contractually obligated to remind you why I hate Dragon Age: The Veilguard: • Three games worth of choices? Basically irrelevant. • Your world states from Origins, DA2, and Inquisition? Decorative. • Years of carefully built lore? Compressed into “the elves did it.” • Except wait! Not even the elves, because now the Executors (a secret Illuminati faction we’ve never heard of) have apparently been manipulating events behind the scenes the entire time. So congratulations: Illusion of choice ×1000. But wait, there’s more: • The Chantry/Maker mystery—one of the most interesting religious conflicts in the setting—basically sidelined. • The Old Gods/Archdemons lore thread that fueled the entire Blight storyline? Suddenly background noise. • Decades of political tension between nations like Orlais, Ferelden, and Tevinter reduced to set dressing. • The morally gray world that made Origins special replaced with something that feels way safer and flatter. • Characters constantly explaining the lore instead of letting the world breathe. • The tone shift that makes the setting feel less like dark fantasy and more like fantasy theme park dialogue. Ten+ years of buildup and mysteries and it all boils down to: “Actually there was an even more secret secret group controlling everything.” Amazing. Glad the last three games were basically optional reading.

@OlmateW @xdadevelopers Yeah, without DLCs, optimization (it WILL lag no matter the rig) and with so many bugs that it's not very playable without a massive modpack by IdolNinja (may he rest in peace). It is known as the WORST port of all times.

@Philhalo66 @Hexingmyopps @xdadevelopers A USB stick and ABadAvatar is all you need to mod your 360. Not as feature rich I admit but I kind of like how you can just unplug the USB and the console is back to stock.

@Hexingmyopps @xdadevelopers this is the way. xbox 360's are dirt cheap right now and mod services are about 100 bucks. and then you can throw in a massive 2TB HDD and have hundreds of games. and even use xbox one controllers.

DuckStation's Android version is effectively discontinued. The last update was released on April 25, 2025. The app is still available on Google Play and works fine on most devices, but the developer no longer maintains the Android version. So if issues appear: • No updates • No bug fixes • No support The developer explicitly states that emails asking for help will be ignored. System requirements: • ARMv7 / AArch64 / x86_64 • 64-bit recommended • ~1.5GHz CPU for 32-bit Even today, it remains one of the best PlayStation 1 emulators on Android.

Indeed much as the comment that sparked this thread, resorted to insulting people instead of arguing their point 2/2

@TruGeno @Chakakalaka_1nU @nuhre_ It is very similar to Mass Effect 3. With that game people who didn't like it would write pages upon pages about what they didn't like about the endings and why. With rare exception the people liked them would say just that "I liked them" and nothing more. 1/2

@disparutoo The movie was fun but boy did I hate the idea of Mr. Universe. I wouldn't be upset by seeing the movie removed from canon.

So its a remake, a reboot, or ignoring the movie as canon? I don’t mind because he’s such a good actor and character. Tbh they could continue from the movie and just put in a joke that we thought you were dead 🤣 and I’d be fine with it.

@chrisglare @retro_dodo PPSSPP can't play PS1 games on any platform. As to Duckstation the app is amazing now but it'll lose compatibility with future versions of Android as things advance.

@retro_dodo I don’t see why it matter that it stops getting updates. Isn’t it good enough already? And also PSP eboots for PS1 games are just fine and can be used with PPSSPP on Android.
