This Judgment rendered by #Supremecourt has no value in practical life. Christian missionaries have evolved with time and the latest practice is to convert a Hindu to Christian without change of name and Surname. On paper the person remains hindu, hence entitled for SC status
Court: no person who professes a religion other than Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist shall not be a member of Scheduled caste. Conversion to any other religion results in loss of Scheduled caste status.

The catch here is that another judgment from the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court clearly states that merely having a cross, a Jesus statue or photo, or other Christian symbols at home does not prove conversion. So technically, this ruling is not just flawed, it is a beautifully packaged pile of legal nonsense pretending to be a landmark judgment. So, they will just not show you the papers and still eat up benefits (kagaz nahi dikhayenge)

SC IS RIGHT. A convert can’t have it both ways. Trash the Hindu social order as oppressive, convert to escape it and still claim benefits rooted in that very system you left behind. If your new faith is beyond caste, what exactly are you claiming?
