Last year on a flight, I sat next to a woman holding a baby. Instantly, I was so excited at the prospect of helping with this baby. Before I could even introduce myself, the flight attendant walks over and says to me "Miss, can I talk to you the back of the plane, please?" 'Am I in trouble?!' are the words that come out of my mouth "No, you're not in trouble, I'd just like to chat with you at the back of the plane" the flight attendant replies, very nicely. 'Can you just tell me here?? ...

On Friday, my Dad was honored with the Louisiana Honor Medal by @LAGovJeffLandry for his military service. Early this morning, surrounded by his family, the Lord called him home after 87 years.
He was a wonderful father, the best man in my wedding, a frequent travel companion, and a dear friend. I’m thankful that nothing was left unsaid between us. His final words to me were words I heard often throughout my life: “I love you, son.”
I will miss him dearly. But because of Christ, death does not have the final word. This is not goodbye—it is only until we meet again.

The Department of War announced the death of six Air Force Airmen who were supporting Operation Epic Fury and we can now report one of them is from Mooresville. Prayers to the family and friends of Capt. Seth R. Koval. His wife released the following Statement from the Koval Family: Our world was shattered two days ago. There is nothing that can prepare you to receive news that you’ve lost the love of your life. Our family will never be the same. As we figure out how to pick up the pieces and move forward, we are deeply grateful for the love and support we have received. That support, and the help of our Heavenly Father, will hold us together in these fragile moments as we face a reality without him. Seth was a man whose life I could never confine to a single statement and whose loss will echo in my heart forever. Seth was exceptional in everything he did. He was truly the most amazing husband, father, son, brother, friend, and Airman. He loved what he did, and he was proud to put his uniform on and serve others. He grew up dreaming about becoming a pilot and to stand beside him as he made his dreams come true was an honor. My husband was many things - loving, generous, kind-hearted, smart, devoted, a fixer of all things, a real outdoorsman, and selfless. It’s been a very sad 24 hours in the rodeo world. Oaklynn Rae Domer, 3 years old, has left this world way to soon 😢😢
Her mother, Kelsie, had her on her hip while leading 2 horses, one of the horses had a heart attack and fell on Kelsie and Oaklynn. Something hit just right on the fall and baby Oaklynn was killed. Please pray for this family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
