It breaks my heart to know that two women I formerly respected have such uneducated opinions about bodies & gender & power. Like did you miss the Genderbread illustration going around in the early 2000s? I mean there are updates now but this a good starter.

I’m learning that some feminists don’t understand how patriarchy works so I made a little chart to illustrate some of the impact.

Over the last decade I’ve met countless poets, writers, activists, & artists who are muting their own voices and removing themselves from vital political movements because of call-out culture & the constant influx of public commentary on what they might be doing wrong. 🧵

Ya know when ya trip over a sidewalk crack and decide to break into a jog to hide the fact that you tripped? I saw someone do that after accidentally running into (and shattering) a glass door once. I love people.
