i'm really not into "worldbuilding" as a framework for storytelling but sometimes i am staggered thinking about the level of detail GRRM put into the history of those books. like there's a reason CK3 can run a full simulation of the whole continent from any point across 300 years

my polish is. not the best. i’ve spent most of my life in america. being first gen i have an advantage over purely heritage polish speakers cuz all of my family lives in poland or other slavic countries but my mom was a polish philology major so she’s ALWAYS correcting me 😭

A lot of modders in the FFXIV scene are greedy and entitled now, have been for a while. Modding for a game when it is against TOS is not a reliable income. As someone who has been job hunting for a new one, I get that it's tough, but there are hundreds of thousands of jobs out there. Don't rely on people in this community to pay your bills, especially with how some of you behave and price yourselves. Not to mention, I've seen a number of paid modders getting lazy or only doing one body size or not working with people who are willing to help upscale. Seeing someone charge to make a custom sculpt for over $200, when their other work goes for $20 per face per race, and each is basically a C+ edit of the last one is insanity. Pirating has grown more wild here because a lot of paid modders decided that they were a gift to the community and deserved to be paid big bucks for work that had to be fixed and cleaned by others. Piracy is not taking away your income, lack of effort and entitlement are. Modding for a game, especially where it's against TOS, should not be your sole income, it should be supplemental at best.
