Is #RLUSD a threat to #XRP? Long read, but hopefully it helps understand how #XRPL is unique. People often think #Ripple is abandoning #XRP and simply going to use RLUSD. They are wrong. Let me explain. So in FOREX, you have currency pairs. Major ones are EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, and USD/CAD. When banks do exchanges, they always interchange multiple pairs. For example AUD/USD USD/JPY to send money. In this case you have two spreads (diff between buy and sell) which means it costs more to send. It also means you need liquidity across two pairs. What XRP does on XRPL is you can effectively have dozens of currencies base paired with XRP. e.g. AUD/XRP, USD/XRP, JPY/XRP, etc (digital version of each fiat of course). Now the best trick on XRPL is auto bridging, meaning XRPL will find the best and cheapest route to send money, across any multiple currency pairs. Where does AMM come in? Well. In addition to Axwell functioning DEX, to avoid liquidity shortages and pricing challenges, the AMM pools are also used for transaction (pathfinding algorithm) that looks at the DEX order book and LPs to find it the best option. An example: Wallet A has 1000 RLUSD tokens to send to wallet B in say RLYEN. You don't have to convert your RLUSD first, in the transaction you just specify the source and target currency/asset and the XRPL will natively do the conversion and send the money IN ONE ATOMIC TRANSACTION. #XRPL is a purpose built, heavy duty, robust cross-asset transport network. #Ripple provides liquidity and the plugins/interfaces to banks (compliant to all relevant banking requirements). It can handle conversion and transaction across any token, nft, you name it. AND THE BLOODLINE OF everything on the #XRPL is #XRP.
