Hot take: Marketing your product is harder than building it. Change my mind.

I’m using tRPC with Next.js in ShortsVid and honestly it’s amazing. It automatically gives you all the types from your API to the client. > type recommendations on the client > prefetching out of the box > works great with TanStack Query > caching and invalidation > no more type errors with clean null checks But I found one con: You don’t really get the benefits of Next.js Server Actions, since they don’t give the same type safety and most things move to the client. Apart from that, everything is great. You won’t realize how good it is until you actually use it.

The tech stack of most startups: - Frontend: React (because everyone uses React) - Backend: Whatever the CTO knew from his last job - Database: Postgres (or Mongo if someone watched a YouTube tutorial) - Auth: Copied from a blog post - Payments: Stripe (obviously) - Deployment: "It works on my machine" - Documentation: LOL - Tests: "We'll add those later" Valued at $10 million.

Growth on X is weird. You can spend hours crafting a tweet for 200 views. Then write a quick one in 5 secs and it reaches 40k.

@pramodk73 I don't see any difference, only the hero title seems to be changed isn't it? but it's worth if it brings conversation

I talked and pitched so much and to different types/levels of people, I understood that my Hero section could be better. So, I am changing it now. Left -> New, Right -> Old. I actually like the new one!

That was a great day. I should say I pulled it off better than I thought I would Trust me, when I said, I am solo, 1 year into it, ~10 customers, people are like 🤯 Being simple and relatable is super power, ig I am not that bad at it. It was not about sales but just pitching it to different types of people. It went really good. I shared 4 discount coupons, not sure if I get any sales though Distributed tshirts, stickers Met @zaidmukaddam Thank you @thiswillblossom for the video. So many people asked about who made it haha Long way to go 🚀

these AI bubble is gonna burst soon all YC companies follows the same pattern : > create hype > ship an AI wrapper > raise millions of dollar in funds > users try it once > usage and revenue drops > pivot hype fades fast. only products that solve real problems survive.
