actually most kataangs generally like zuko as a character while zutaras have a hardcore agenda against aang like their hate is deliberate so whatever zuko criticism comes after is defensive reaction for katara/aang

@CalebJalencrn fire lady doesn’t even sound cool it comes across as very zuko and fire nation centric, which is why they now use “ambassador katara” but they drop the last part which is “ambassador katara TO the fire nation” aka pre-fire lady

@yurichaela “Fire Lady” SOUNDS cool so they assume it’s a big position of power the same way Fire and Water sounds cool so they assume that it was significant here. They tend to literally ignore EVERYTHING in canon that contradicts their ideas.

ultimately i think the discourse surrounding katara’s career comes down to the glorification of monarchy. because why is katara, who’s leading the highest branch of government in the world’s capital, a place that SHE co-founded and established, still getting called a tradwife?

@yurichaela the fire lady has about the same importance of the empress of japan, primary objective is to have children and be mother of the nation and thus submissive to their spouse with a minor influence in governance.
