@anonyybaddie claiming that sexual orientation isnโt a part of our identities is an ignorant statement
English

@anonyybaddie our identity defines who we are as individuals and how we interact with other social groups, in addition to impacting how others perceive us
English

I actually think a bigger issue is that sexuality/who you like to date isnโt an identity at all. Itโs just a thing about you. && weโre all thinking about sex and dating too much ๐ฅฐ

i think the one of biggest issues in the queer community currently is that people see queerness as an aesthetic and not an identity

@beombearlvr the good thing about labels is that you can choose not to use them, theyโre beneficial for a lot of people, including me. certain labels ARE restrictive and DO box us in, but if thatโs not what youโre looking for then donโt use it.
English

@zeraphice I also think so much of the discourse is because people use labels to define themselves rather than describe themseles. I hate labels in general but if we have them at least dont try to box yourself in for no reason
English

@zeraphice @cutegirlsart Iโm not even butch or femmes but the way a lot of people treat these identities as only aesthetic is so fucking weird
English

@r3queim @lenqsheart while femmes are typically feminine presenting, femme is a political lesbian identity, fem is the word youโre looking for
English

@lenqsheart @zeraphice wait i thought that could mean feminine as well? is tha purely lesbian slang?
